scar camouflage

Pre-Care

Proper preparation helps ensure the best possible outcome from your scar camouflage treatment. Please read and follow all instructions carefully.

Before Your Appointment

1. Moisturize Daily

Moisturize the treatment area every day for 1–2 weeks leading up to your appointment. Do not apply any lotion on the day of the procedure.

2. Avoid Caffeine & Alcohol (24 Hours Prior)

Caffeine and alcohol can increase sensitivity and may affect how your skin responds.

3. Avoid Blood Thinners

Do not take blood-thinning medications or supplements before your appointment unless prescribed by your doctor. Always follow medical advice.

4. Avoid Sun Exposure

Do not tan or allow the area to burn for at least 2 weeks before your session. Sun exposure can affect pigment retention.

5. No Exfoliants or Active Skincare (1 Week Prior)

Avoid retinol, acids, scrubs, or any exfoliating treatments on or near the area.

6. Ensure Your Scar Is Fully Healed

Scars must be fully healed before tattooing can be performed—typically 12–18 months post-injury or post-surgery.
